Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 1 October 2026
Conditions applicable to purchases from the ADAPTA LAB online store.
1. Seller identification
The online store at adaptalab.eu is operated by ADAPTA LAB, based at Rua Herculano de Carvalho 40, Amadora, 2720-272, Portugal, tax identification number (NIF) 310 818 338. Contact: contacto@adaptalab.pt.
2. Scope
These terms govern distance sales of products to consumers through the ADAPTA LAB online store. By completing a purchase, you accept these terms.
3. Products
We describe and photograph products as accurately as possible. Some items can be personalised; the available personalisation is stated on each product page. Minor variations arising from manufacturing or display on different screens may occur, without prejudice to the consumer's statutory rights.
4. Prices
Prices are shown in euros (EUR) and include legally applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Shipping costs are shown at checkout before purchase confirmation.
5. Orders
You may complete a purchase with or without creating an account. An order is considered placed once checkout is completed and payment is confirmed. If supply is objectively impossible, there is an obvious error, or another circumstance prevents fulfilment, the customer will be informed and any amounts paid will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
6. Payment
Payment is processed through Shopify's secure checkout. The payment methods available are those shown at checkout at the time of purchase.
7. Availability
Availability shown in the store reflects stock information configured in Shopify. If an exceptional unavailability occurs after order confirmation, we will contact you to explain the available options.
8. Delivery
We currently deliver to Portugal and Spain. Personalised products normally require 48 to 72 business hours for production before dispatch; transit time is additional. Applicable shipping options and costs are shown at checkout.
9. Right of withdrawal
For distance contracts, consumers generally have 14 days to exercise the right of withdrawal, subject to applicable law. For sales of goods, the period normally runs from the day on which the consumer, or a third party indicated by the consumer other than the carrier, acquires physical possession of the goods.
To exercise this right, contact us through the Contact page or at contacto@adaptalab.pt and communicate your decision unequivocally. Where applicable, the product must be returned to: Rua Herculano de Carvalho, no. 40, Ground Floor Left, Amadora, Portugal. Unless applicable law provides otherwise, the direct cost of returning goods following exercise of the right of withdrawal is borne by the customer.
10. Personalised products and exceptions to withdrawal
Applicable law provides exceptions to the right of withdrawal, including for certain goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised. Whether an exception applies depends on the specific product and order. Nothing in this clause limits rights relating to lack of conformity or defects.
11. Personalisation information
For products that accept personalisation, the customer is responsible for checking the information entered before completing the purchase, including names, upper- and lower-case letters and accents.
12. Conformity and statutory guarantee
Consumers benefit from rights concerning conformity of goods under applicable Portuguese law, including Decree-Law no. 84/2021. For new movable goods, the seller is liable for any lack of conformity that becomes apparent within three years from delivery of the goods, without prejudice to the other rules and rights provided by applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes mandatory consumer rights.
If you identify a defect or lack of conformity, contact us through the Contact page, stating the order number and, where useful, providing photographs of the issue.
13. Liability
ADAPTA LAB is liable in accordance with applicable law. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or limit consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
14. Intellectual property
The content of this website — including texts, images, logo, visual identity and designs of ADAPTA LAB's own products — belongs to ADAPTA LAB or is lawfully used and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without permission.
15. Contact
For questions about these terms, see the Contact page.
16. Applicable law and alternative dispute resolution
These terms are governed by applicable Portuguese law, without prejudice to mandatory rights granted to consumers under the law applicable to them.
In a consumer dispute, the consumer may use a competent alternative dispute resolution (ADR) entity. For matters within the territorial competence of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, including Amadora, the Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo de Lisboa may be competent. Where no specific territorial arbitration centre applies, the Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (CNIACC) may be competent. The official and current list of ADR entities is available from Portugal's Directorate-General for Consumers.
The former European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and is therefore not indicated as a current channel for submitting complaints.
Consumers may also use Portugal's Electronic Complaints Book through the official portal at livroreclamacoes.pt.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when necessary. The version applicable to a purchase is the version published when the order is placed. The date at the top of this page identifies the latest update.
